Valeria Pistoni

Valeria works as senior associate in the Firm's corporate department.

She regularly assists Italian and foreign clients such as private equity and venture capital investment funds, SMEs, listed companies, entrepreneurs and families in complex extraordinary transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate reorganizations in different sectors (industrial, digital, pharma & biotech). She also advises Italian companies in corporate governance matters, as well as in drafting complex commercial agreements.

Valeria gained significant regulatory experience in the banking and finance sector by assisting Italian and foreign banks and financial intermediaries in connection with regulatory issues, liaising with the relevant supervisory authorities, as well as implementing specific directives and regulations, especially within the fintech and payment systems sector.

She graduated in law in 2013 from “Università Commerciale L. Bocconi” (Milan) after spending a period of study abroad at the University of Western Australia. She specialized in financial institutions law at the University of Milan in 2015.

Valeria was admitted to the Italian Bar in 2016.

In 2020 she earned an MBA from “MIP Politecnico di Milano School of Management”.

Before joining Gitti and Partners Valeria worked with leading international law firms both in Milan and London and for the “Arbitro Bancario e Finanziario della Banca d’Italia” (Banking and Financial Arbitrator of the Bank of Italy).

Valeria is fluent in Italian and English.
