Eugenio Maria Mastropaolo
Eugenio Maria Mastropaolo is counsel of the firm since 2017.
Eugenio joined the Law Faculty of Macerata University where he graduated maxima cum laude, then he moved to France where he developed research activities thanks to an Italian National Research Center grant.
He was admitted to the Rome Bar in 1999.
Eugenio started his professional activity with primary Italian international banks, then he started his private practice joining primary Italian and international law firms. Soon after he was nominated Head of Legal & Compliance of a primary payment institution. As a freelance consultant he advised Italian law firms and management consulting companies.
Eugenio holds positions of responsible of controlling functions in outsourcing regime, member of supervisory body pursuant to Italian Law 231/2001 and director in corporate bodies.
His expertise focuses on banking and financial law and in particular on financial instruments, investment services, payment services, traditional lending and fixed income transactions, internal controls systems, planning and controls execution, Italian Law 231/2001 organizational models and AML.
Currently he teaches Economy Law and Banking Law at Pegaso Web University – Naples.
Eugenio wrote numerous articles and essays and two books on “Investment Services” (2003) and “Controlling Functions” (2013).
Eugenio is fluent in Italian, English and French.
