Carlo Mirabile

Carlo has been a partner at the Firm since 2026 and a lawyer admitted to practice before the Higher Courts since 1999. He practices in the main areas of Italian, EU and international law, with a specialised and personalised approach tailored to the Client’s needs.

He graduated in Law from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with full marks and honours (110 e lode), with a thesis in Commercial Law. He was an Assistant at the IV Chair of Commercial Law and a Fellow at the Southwestern Legal Foundation in Dallas.

From 1979 to 1989 he worked at BNL S.p.A. as legal counsel in the Legal Department of the General Management, rising to the position of Deputy Director. He dealt with the main issues of banking and financial law and took part in important M&A transactions, including international ones.

Over the years, he has assisted, both out of court and in civil, administrative and proceedings before the Court of Audit, central and local public administrations, listed and unlisted public companies, healthcare providers, and leading companies in the IT, postal, financial, insurance, public utilities, communications, advertising and film sectors. He has specialised in the following areas: concessions, telecommunications, public utility services, IT, public procurement and film legislation, with particular regard to the intersections between commercial-corporate law and administrative law.

He has participated, as an expert, in Evaluation Committees for major public procurement procedures for the Revenue Agency, the Customs Agency, Sogei, Lottomatica and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He has advised important private companies, both listed and unlisted, on general counsel, contracts, M&A transactions and governance, also serving as Secretary of the Board of Directors.

He has held the positions of Vice President of Lottomatica Sistemi S.p.A., Director of Postelprint S.p.A. and Legal Adviser to the Chief Executive Officer of Poste Italiane S.p.A. in the periods 1998-2002 and 2014-2017.

He was appointed by the Minister of Economic Development, as a procedure expert, as a member of the Supervisory Committee in the Extraordinary Administration of Lucchini S.p.A. and related companies.

He has sat on Arbitral Tribunals as Chairman, Arbitrator or counsel and is currently a member of important Technical Advisory Committees (CCT).

He is a member of the Society of Administrative Lawyers, Founding Partner and member of the Board of Directors of the Roman Administrative Chamber, and a Director of the Association of Friends of the Angelica Library.
