Matteo Patrignani

Matteo Patrignani is a counsel of the Firm.

Since the beginning of his professional career, Matteo assists mainly companies operating in the renewable energy sector.
In particular, he has gained a long experience in structuring project financing transactions for wind, photovoltaic and hydroelectric projects, both on behalf of banks and domestic and international sponsors.

He also assists his clients in the sale and purchase of corporate participations and other extraordinary transactions, in the negotiation of shareholders' agreements and joint venture agreements and in the drafting of major contracts pertaining to the development, construction and operation&maintenance of renewable energy power plants, as well as to the sale of the electricity produced by them (PPAs).

In corporate transactions involving strategic sectors and assets of national interest, he offers assistance in Golden Power regulations matters and in the notification to the Prime Minister's Office.

After graduating in law in 2007 from Università Roma Tre and doing a short internship in a prime insurance company, he practiced with a leading international Italian firm from 2008 to 2023, becoming a partner in 2022.

In 2013 Matteo participated to the Academy of American and International Law at the Center for American and International Law in Texas, where he served as Secretary General upon appointment by his fellows.

He has been a member of the Rome Bar Association since 2011 and is, in addition, a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).

Matteo has collaborated with the SAFE Master's program for many years, lecturing on project financing techniques in the renewable energy sector.

He is fluent in Italian and English.
