Emanuele, Partner of the Firm, leads the Financial Regulation & Investment Funds practice.
Emanuele assists clients with the full lifecycle of asset managers (AIFM and UCITS) and fund structures — from initial design and structuring through to authorisation, day-to-day legal and regulatory matters, extraordinary transactions and liquidation — covering all asset classes including private equity and private debt, real estate, credit, infrastructure, turnaround, venture capital and liquid strategies. He also assists institutional investors, family offices and individuals with their investments and co-investments in fund structures, both on primary and secondary markets.
Emanuele has extensive experience in financial regulation, advising on complex regulatory issues in the field of investment management, banking, insurance, fintech and payment service industry. His experience includes, inter alia, advising on authorisation of regulated entities, reorganization of financial groups, AIFMD, MiFID, ESG legislation, PSD, CRR, DORA, market abuse, prudential regulation, anti-money laundering/ anti-terrorism legislation, change in control, securities offering, reorganisations, outsourcing as well as conduct of business rules.
Furthermore, he regularly assists financial institutions and sponsors in connection with any regulatory aspect of M&A/Capital markets/banking transactions as well as ordinary and extraordinary transactions involving financial industry-specific regulations.
Emanuele is Member of the Tax & Legal Commission of the Italian Private Capital Association (AIFI), regular speaker at clients’ and academic seminars and author of several publications on financial regulation and investment funds topics.
Emanuele graduated in law in 2007 from Università Bocconi and was admitted to the Italian Bar in 2010.
Before joining the Firm, Emanuele spent 19 years at a “magic circle” global law firm.
Emanuele has been ranked in the major legal directories, where he is described by clients as a lawyer “with excellent skills, which allow him to untangle complex law problems” (Legal 500 2025), who “has remarkable legal and commercial expertise” (Legal 500 2024), “notable for its smart approach to complex matters” (Legal 500 2023).
